Clinical Nurse Specialist for Continence

I am the Chair of the Continence Care forum and very enthusiastic about supporting change with raising the awareness and profile of continence issues in order that it may be managed more equitable. I would like to raise the profile of continence, encourage people to promote rather than supplies pad. I represent the RCN Community, being a part of developing National Documents, managing the Facebook and Twitter page, being part of a team.

Nursing for 27 years, starting out in a urology department, working on the ward and cystocopy clinic, then in the community where I was given the opportunity to take the role of the continence nurse. I run clinics, teaching sessions and home visits. I now manage a Continence service, managing a team of 33 staff, who are all very passionate about continence.

My interest is Bowels which I think it is a part of continence management that can be forgotten.
